ATV-SEMAPP:
THE ACADEMY OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES - THE SOCIETY OF PROCESS- AND PRODUCTION ENGINEERING
ESTABLISHMENT AND OBJECT
The Society was established in 1982 as a private, non-profit foundation, affiliated to the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences ( http://www.atv.dk/atveng/ ).
The object of the society is to
- communicate knowledge of mechanical process- and production engineering
- stimulate training and research
- act as a forum for professional scientific activities.
PARTICULAR FIELDS OF INTEREST
The society has seven subjects of particular interest:
- Laser Technology,
- Surface Engineering and Technology,
- Pressure Die Casting,
- Polymer Technology
- Light Metals Technology
- MicroNano Technology
and
- Innovation, Development and Organisation of Production.
Managing committee's for each subject are initiating and planning activities.

MEMBERS
Approximately 350 persons, primarily from Danish industry, are members of the society. Besides, about 150 persons, employed by company-members are regularly informed about activities. Within each of the abovementioned subjects are relations to several other peoples from institutes and industry.
